Can you send email to your hotmail.com directly from Notes?

I noticed that if I send and email from my Notes client to:user1@hotmail.com and user1@domain.com, the email is never delivered to hotmail.

It appears that hotmail is flagging the email as spam if a message is addressed to the same user and two different domains.
